What We Work Towards

The Goals of B(lack) S(tudent) U(nion) are to facilitate a campus-wide community on the relationship among Black students, and embracing our deeply interconnected histories and experiences. We attempt to achieve this through regular meetings, coordinated events with social and informational values, collaborative programming with departments and other student organizations, and inviting scholars as speakers.  We look to serve as a liaison between students of color on campus and administration to relay all detailed needs and recommendations for improvement.

Description

We, as members of the student body, have deemed it necessary to promote unity among all students within Pace University. It is our goal not only to create unity while recognizing the differences that are present, but also to promote this unity throughout the New York Metropolitan Area. The Black Student Union strives to enhance the community of Pace by unifying students of the African diaspora to find empowerment in their collective identities and histories. BSU strives for a campus that is anti-racist, inclusive, and conscious of the delicate needs of students of color on campus.
