Hey Pre-Health Grizzlies!

Welcome to Oakland's Pre-Professional Advising Office - the digital version. Here you have access to event registration and files for pre-health students. In this portal, you will receive the Pre-Health Announcements from events across campus, open meeting invitations from some pre-health student orgs and select off campus events.

  • To be more competitive for admissions to healthcare professional schools (medical, dentistry, optometry, etc), make an appointment with Carmen Gamlin, Pre-Health adviser at or (248) 370-4936. Getting into these schools is highly competitive. Ms. Gamlin can help you create the best admissions packet possible. In a highly competitive market, it is never too early to meet with a Pre-Health adviser.

  • Feel free to stop by the office in room 201 Hannah for Quick Questions on Pre-Health topics most before and after scheduled summer workshops.

We look forward to seeing you in person soon.

In Service,

Pre-Health Workshops ̶ Presentations will cover key topics such as exploring health careers, admission exams, application strategies, letters of evaluation, interviewing and more. Workshops are available digitally via Webinar live on scheduled Mondays and thereafter through the GrizzOrgs portal.

Individual Pre-Health Advising is available by appointment for those in the application/interviewing cycle. Carmen Gamlin, is the Pre-Health Adviser located in room 201 Hannah Hall, and 248 370-4936.
