Rising Tide Leadership Summit 2018
ABOUT THE SUMMIT
This one-day leadership conference is designed for emerging and current student leaders and will feature sessions on a wide variety of topics related to Tulane University’s Leadership Framework. The Summit will provide Tulane students with the opportunity to learn from the vast expertise of our faculty, staff, alumni and campus partners to share their leadership experiences with each other and to establish a network of support within the university.
First 100 registered guests guaratees t-shirt size and dietary needs for lunch! Walk ups are welcomed day off!

We are excited to share with the Tulane Community the vast list of programs happening during the Summit. Below is a snapshot of some of the presentations occurring during the Summit.
Swim above the Undertow: Defining Personal Success at Tulane and Beyond
Are you the student with three majors, five career interests, and ten extra-curriculars? Using the Three Key Questions model for self reflection, learn how to capitalize on your joys and strengths to hone your passions to positively affect change in your community.
Leading from a place of "Yes And...”: Leadership lessons from Improv
This interactive workshop will focus on how to shape your leadership skills through the lens of improv comedy. Participants will learn about some core improv principles and explore how they can tailor these concepts in their work as student leaders.
Beyond the Binary: Transgender, Agender, Non-Binary and Gender Fluid
This workshop provides answers to some of the most common questions about a variety of gender identities, offers ideas about how to be an effective ally, and places the current rise in transgender visibility in historical context.
Leading into your Career: are you Career ready?
Do you know how to use your strengths, interests, and talents? Employers are looking for students “career ready” with career competencies developed throughout college. Building these skills starts with self-awareness and continues through setting goals and identifying opportunities to achieve them.
Is it Nap Time Yet?: A Workshop for the "Woke" Student Leader
Staying "woke" has become popularized in society. But, having to remain informed of all the social issues plaguing the world can sometimes become exhausting and cause fatigue in leadership. The question we'll explore is how to take care of yourself and still engage in social justice leadership.
