Volunteer Opportunity With Dr. Cammarata
The IGT Garden Committee will be volunteering our time with TAMU-CC's botany professor, Dr. Cammarata! Meet us at the Bill Witt Park Community Garden on February 10th! The agenda of the workday includes mulching around newly planted trees, transplanting and refilling large planters, and watering the grounds.
Please bring plenty of water, sun protection, snacks/a simple lunch, picnic blanket, personal gardening gloves and/or hand shovels. We have a limited supply of garden supplies so we are encouraging you all to bring personal gardening-wear (if you happen to already own these items.)
It would be beneficial for the team to provide a couple of wheelbarrows at this workday, IGT does own two of these. If anybody wanting to attend this event drives a truck or a vehicle with adequate space for a wheelbarrow or two please contact Melissa Zamora, firstname.lastname@example.org
Sofia Gonzalez, email@example.com.
We are looking forward to seeing yall's smiling faces!!
Peace & Blessings,
Islander Green Team - Garden Committee
