Our Mission                                                                                     Our mission is to celebrate and spread awareness of Hinduism throughout the Loyola and surrounding Chicagoland community. With the core of our organization focused on building a community, we celebrate religious holidays, coordinate the organization of cultural events, host daily Aarti (prayer), facilitate religious discourse with social implications, and more. We strive to cultivate spiritual, religious, social, professional, and cultural development to each of our members in every respect.

What We Do                                                                                     We invite you to visit the HSO Puja Room in Room 238 of the Damen Student Center, or attend one of our many events throughout the year to learn more about us! Be sure to click "join organization" to be officially registered as a member of the Hindu Students' Organization.

The Hindu Students' Organization (HSO) is a Registered Student Organization at Loyola University Chicago. Our mission is to celebrate and spread awareness of Hinduism throughout the Loyola and surrounding Chicagoland community.

Membership Selection Process

If your organization has selective membership, please describe the selection process.

As a Registered Student Organization (RSO), the Loyola Hindu Students' Organization offers membership to all Loyola students without regard to race, religion, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin.

We invite you to visit the HSO Puja Room in Room 238 of the Damen Student Center, or attend one of our many events throughout the year to learn more about us!

Meetings

If your organization meets at a regular scheduled time and place, please provide the day(s), time(s), and location(s).

The Hindu Students' Organization does meet once every month for our General Body Meeting. These meetings normally take place during the first few weeks of each month, and we encourage you to follow HSO on social media or email hsoloyola@gmail.com to be added to an email list to ensure you stay in the loop for upcoming events.

Throughout the semester, HSO hosts a regular prayer (Aarti). These take place on Mondays through Thursdays at 5:00pm in Room 238 of the Damen Student Center. All are welcome to attend!
