Join the Black Cultural Center as we celebrate the Class of 2019. The 2019 Black Graduation ceremony will serve as the first, annual celebratory event to recognize black-identified graduating students at Loyola University Chicago. Friends, family, and alumni are encouraged to attend the celebration on Sunday, April 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Damen Student Center, Sr. Jean BVM MPR.

Black Graduation: Student Registration Form

Join the Black Cultural Center, on Sunday, April 28, as we celebrate the Class of 2019! This graduation celebration recognizes black-identified students who are graduating from Loyola University Chicago's undergraduate, graduate or professional schools. Friends and family are encouraged to attend the celebration and each graduate is allowed to bring a maximum of 2 guests to the event, while the reception is open to all.

B.C.C. Presents: Ebony Ball, A Motown Special

Join the Black Cultural Center for evening of celebration. As our final event of Black History Month, we welcome participants to show up and show out at our annual-formal event of the year. Ebony Ball will take place on Friday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Regents Hall, WTC. This years theme is Motown. 

Dinner and light refreshments will be provided. 

Non-Loyola students are subject to a $5 fee for entrance.

The Black Cultural Center presents the 16th Annual Def Comedy Jam. This previous year, Donnell Rawlings was showcased.This year, Black Cultural Center will be collaborating with African Student Alliance to bring an African comedian, Aphrican Ape, and Wild N' Out's Karlous Miller.

This will be a tabling event, held in the BCC Room (DSC 113), where we will hand out the statistics of deaths of minority teens in the past year.  Breakdowns will include: deaths by police, race/ethnicity, age and gender.  We will hand out pamphlets with the information.  The table will be set up in the room and we will have posters around with the faces of all the innocent youth that we have recently lost, with the story of their death underneath...
