Project C.A.N. XVI - Non-NUS Volunteers Sign Up Form
Project C.A.N. (Collection in Aid of the Needy) is a Special Project under NUS Students' Community Service Club (CSC). Our project aims to provide support for the underprivileged through food rations, raising awareness, as well as forging meaningful relationships with them.
This year, we will be serving residents in the Teck Ghee region. Six different phases (Publicity Drive, Collect, Challenge, Sort, Empower and Distribute) will be conducted across the weekends in June and July. Join us today to make a difference! :)
C.A.N. Publicity Drive (Saturday & Sunday, 22nd & 23rd June 2019):
Volunteers will go door to door to inform residents of the upcoming collection of items, as well as raise awareness of our beneficiaries.
C.A.N. Collect (Saturday & Sunday, 6th & 7th July 2019):
Volunteers will be involved in collecting food rations and daily essentials from well-to-do households located close to our beneficiary blocks. Once collected, food rations will be brought to various collection points.
C.A.N. Challenge (Saturday & Sunday, 13th & 14th July 2019):
Volunteers will be stationed at booths in supermarkets and will be involved in encouraging shoppers to donate food rations and daily essentials to our beneficiaries.
C.A.N. Empower (Sunday, 21st July 2019):
Volunteers will be accompanying beneficiaries and assisting them with various activities during this activity day.
C.A.N. Distribute (Saturday & Sunday, 27th & 28th July 2019):
Volunteers will be involved in distributing packed distribution packs to beneficiaries. Volunteers will be briefed on appropriate conduct during visits as well as how to approach and interact with the beneficiaries.
Please take note that volunteer recruitment is on a first-come-first-served basis, so do sign up early to avoid disappointment!
We will confirm your participation with us via email, so do keep a lookout for our confirmation email!
