The Griffith University Volleyball Club, otherwise known as GUVC was established in 1994. When the club was first started it had 19 members from just Nathan campus in its first year, since then the club has grown astronomically. The club now has members from all Brisbane campuses which is now 196 members in 2015.

GUVC offers both social volleyball for not just Griffith university students but also the public and alumni with practice each week for competitive teams and players who train for University Games and other external competitions.

This year in 2017 the club will be affiliating themselves with Volleyball Queensland, the state organisation for Volleyball. This will reap numerous benefits including access to high-level competitions.

GUVC is not just a sporting club, but a community. We want to ensure that everyone has a great time, regardless of skill or ability level. It is very important to us that everyone gets along and comes together as a big family. This year we hope to have regular social outings to take a break from the gruelling sport that is Volleyball and to enjoy each other's company. So train hard, play hard but most of all enjoy yourselves in 2016.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with the club for further information!
