Welcome to MOVE! We're excited to help you along your service journey. Our organization strives to provide opportunities for the Georgia Tech community (undergraduates, graduate students, alumni, faculty, staff, etc) to engage in community service, civic engagement, and making a positive impact on our community- both locally and around the world. Our organization thrives on our partnerships across the campus and around the Atlanta area.
Are you passionate about helping others??
Are you looking to find a community and make new friends?
Are you looking for something fun to do with your friends or colleagues on a weekend?
Are you looking to be a part of a group and grow your leadership skills?
If your answer is yes to any of the above, then you should join MOVE!
There are many levels of involvement in MOVE. You can join us for a service project on a weekend, or be a committee member who helps organize events. We appreciate any time that you can commit no matter how small.
If you're interested in getting involved with MOVE please follow our OrgSync page and you will start receiving information on how to get involved when we are back on campus in the fall.
MOVE is Georgia Tech's umbrella organization for a variety of community service and volunteer opportunities. Our organization consists of 6 committees that address various issues and provide many service opportunities throughout the year. You can make a difference in your community with nothing more than a smile and a desire to serve - no experience necessary or required!
Our committees meet a variety of needs within Georgia Tech and the Greater Atlanta community. We have a committee for Animal Welfare, Education and STEM, Hunger and Homelessness, Medical Assistance, Sustainability and Special Projects, which combines a variety of needs not met by other committees.
MOVE exists to serve the community as a whole by facilitating service activities by Georgia Tech's faculty, staff, and students that will increase the participants' self worth, leadership abilities, value of diversity, and motivation to be involved in the community at large while at the same time meeting the needs of the community at large.
