Portal Information


Welcome to Portland State’s NSSLHA/ Orgsync page! We are excited to have you here! Our aim is to encourage professional interest among university students in the study of speech and hearing sciences. Additionally, we wish to assist university departments and local organizations interested in speech, hearing, and language behavior and disorders.

Ultimately, as NSSLHA members, we are a community- a safe and dynamic space where students can greet, gather and grow in our knowledge of speech and hearing sciences. We look forward to seeing you soon!



Group Type

If you are a new group, you will be given a Portland State e-mail for your organization. This is the primary e-mail for your group.

Group Phone Number

This should be a Portland State phone number. If you do not have an office, you can request a voice mail line. For safety reasons, please do not list a personal phone number here.


Membership Criteria

If your group has a selective membership process, please describe it here.

Students who are interested in joining NSSLHA should create a profile on OrgSync and request to join NSSLHA.

1. Membership Eligibility. Full or part-time undergraduate, postbaccalaureate,
And graduate students interested in the study of typical and disordered human communication
behavior are eligible for membership.
2. How to Join NSSLHA. Candidates must apply for membership using the website
3. Individual Accountability. The members of NSSLHA hold individual
accountability for their actions that cloud the integrity and image of the chapter and its
4. Termination of Membership. Membership in NSSLHA shall be terminated
automatically if the member: a) becomes eligible for membership in ASHA, b) loses student
status, or c) attends less than two meetings or events per term.
