Feb 29, 2016 by Nykolai M Blichar

The Diversity Council would like to welcome two new member organizations to the standing committee!

Afro-Caribbean Collision Dance Group (AAC)

Afro-Caribbean Collision is a dance group dedicated to enhancing the origins and development of African and Caribbean dancing. We will infuse both traditional and modernized African and Caribbean inspired dances. Our dance styles are inspired by several sounds such as: Reggae, Soca, and Bachata (just to name a few). We are a multi-cultural organization that also accepts all gender identities. Overall, our dance group promotes passion, diversity, cultural acceptance, and perseverance through a creative learning environment. Our club anticipates performances both at Kutztown University and potentially other PASSHE schools. AAC is a unique club in that it is represented both on RSCC as well as the Diversity Council due to its focus on diversity related issues and concern for cultural appreciation. ACC represents multicultural issues on the Council.

Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society was founded at East Stroudsburg University in 2004 to recognize the academic accomplishments of students with disabilities. Kutztown University established the Iota Chapter in Spring of 2007. Members of the Honor Society have the opportunity to serve as role models for students with disabilities. Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society represents disability related issues on the Council.
