Kerri Lefler, Agribusiness Coordinator
As we finalize plans for the 2020 State Fair, we are once again asking for help from our volunteers with various aspects of our Champion of Champions competition.
Exhibitors will again be able to earn points for Achievement Premiums by participating in the Record Book Competition. In order to judge these record books, we need a lot of volunteers and since you judged record books in the past, we hope you will once again be able to help with the judging.
As many of you know last year we started the new process of judging the record books before the Fair. We will have to say it worked amazing well for the first year, so we are continuing to do the same this year. For those of you who helped last year we hope you found the judging to be easier. We know you had a much larger area to work in!!
The General Record Books and Dog/Llama Record Books are to be turned in (postmarked or hand delivered) to our office by January 10th and we have scheduled the judging on Saturday, January 18th starting at 9 am at East Chelsea Baptist Church, 7225 E Chelsea St, Tampa, FL 33610. If you have anyone interested in helping us on January 18th, please let me know by January 13th. Sign up form is included below.
As you know Karen Hamilton does an amazing job overseeing all the judging but she sure needs your help. The more judges, the shorter time to judge. We hope this new one day judging will work into your schedule.
Again, please, know we sincerely appreciate all your help in the past and look forward to working with you in the future.
See you at the 2020 Florida State Fair!!
