Registered Teams: 2018 Sub-District CDE/LDEs

Registration for the 2018 Florida FFA Sub-District Leadership Development Events (LDE) & Career Development Events (CDE) that will be held on December 11, 2018-will close NOVEMBER 27, 2018 at 5:00pm est.
Please find attached the list of currently registered participants and a list of chapters sorted by District/Sub-District.
If you find that your chapter is not registered for an event, you will have until tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27, at 5:00pm to get them added. After this NO OTHER PARTICIPANTS will be added.
Sub-District CDE/LDE preliminaries are hosted by an identified school and teacher within your FFA Chapter’s assigned sub-district. A document will be sent with the event information that has been provided by the host for each sub-district, after registration closes. Additional specific event information will be provided by the host. Questions about start times, location and other logistics should be directed to the sub-district host.

The events that will take place at sub-districts include:
- Creed Speaking LDE (7th, 8th, and 9th grade)
- Extemporaneous Public Speaking LDE (High School and Middle School) *COMPUTERS CANNOT BE USED*
- Opening and Closing Ceremonies LDE (Middle School)
- Parliamentary Procedure LDE (High School and Middle School)
- Prepared Public Speaking LDE (High School and Middle School)
- Safe Tractor Operations CDE (High School)
**Please be reminded: All Prepared Public Speaking manuscripts should be submitted electronically to Florida FFA. We will then send your manuscripts to the host to be scored. ALL MANUSCRIPTS SHOULD BE UPLOADED AS A PDF or similar format. DO NOT upload a word document.
The online submission form is available on the competitive events page of FLAFFA.org and a direct link has been provided for you at the bottom of this email.
Please note that all manuscripts must be submitted using the submission form and no emailed or printed copies will be accepted.
Manuscripts for Sub-Districts are due December 4th at 5PM.There will be no exceptions. Students who do not submit a manuscript by the deadline will not receive a manuscript score.

Membership & Competitive Event Participation
FFA members competing in any Career Development Event (CDE) or Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the state level (including online and onsite preliminaries) must be listed on the chapter’s membership roster and the roster must have been submitted to state. During the two business day period following the publishing of event results, while results are considered to be “unofficial”, membership eligibility will be confirmed for all participants on qualifying teams. For any chapter whose members are not found on the roster, the FFA advisor will be notified and given an opportunity to correct the roster and pay a $100 late fee by the close of business (5:00pm EST) on the second business day. If corrections are not made and/or the late fee not paid, students will be removed from the score report.
Quality Chapter Plan Submission & Competitive Event Participation
FFA chapters must submit the Quality Chapter Plan prior to participating in any competitive event. If the Quality Chapter Plan has not been submitted by the close of business on the published registration deadline, the chapter will not be considered for official ranking within that event. While the chapter will be eligible to register and participate, participants will not be included in the scoring process. To avoid eligibility issues, the Quality Chapter Plan should be submitted by the published due date. You will not be able to register without confirming you have completed this step.
Per Florida FFA Board Policy, NO ALTERNATES will be permitted to participate in any competitive event.
