Congratulations on advancing to the state competition in one of the Leadership Development Events to be held at the 90th Florida FFA State Convention and Expo. Thank you for you the time you have dedicated to all of your FFA members this year in the CDEs and LDEs that your FFA Chapter has participated in, you are helping to lay the foundation for these students to become successful in their future careers. This email contains important information about membership and competitive event procedures at State Convention, please read carefully.
Membership & Competitive Event Procedures at State Convention
Due to the new Board Membership Policy that states: FFA members competing in any Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the state level must be listed on the chapter’s membership roster and the roster must have been submitted to state. Membership eligibility will be confirmed for all participants on qualifying teams/students. For any chapter whose members are not found on the roster, the FFA advisor will be notified and given an opportunity to correct the roster and pay a $100 late fee by the close of business (5:00pm EST) on the second business day. If corrections are not made and/or the late fee not paid, students will be removed from the score report or not eligible to compete in the next round.
Using the link below, please submit your students names for competition by Friday, May 4th. You may list 2 student alternates for team events. Membership will be checked on these students after 5:00 on May 29, 2018. If a student is not found to be an FFA member, the you will be notified and given an opportunity to correct the roster and pay a $100 late fee by the close of business (5:00pm EST) on the second business day. No other substitutions will be allowed at the State Contest, other than the alternates you listed on your LDE Certification.
