The following is a position announcement posted by the Florida Department of Education for the following position:

Position: State Supervisor of Agriculture Education Programs with the Florida Department of Education. 

Position Description: The primary responsibility of this position is planning, implementing, and assessing educational programs in the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster as well as those in Diversified Education and the Government and Public Administration cluster. The areas of focus include an annual assessment and evaluation of program outcomes; providing staff development and technical assistance to ensure continuous improvement of state and local educational programs in the assigned career clusters. Additional responsibilities include serving as the State Advisor of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) student organization; managing state and federal grants; planning and coordinating statewide educational conferences, meetings, and/or workshops; providing technical assistance to local recipients to implement and carry out programs, services and activities related to Career and Technical Education; analyzing educational, demographic, and labor market data and projections for the improvement of career programs; and performs related work as required. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Knowledge of educational program development and operation, knowledge of federal and state statutes and rules impacting educational programs; the ability to use technology and software programs; presentation skills including technology applications for presentations; the ability to effectively lead and motivate staff to accomplish work required; and the ability to effectively work with people outside of the work unit to accomplish common goals and initiatives related to programs. 

Minimum Training/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and three years of related professional experience. 

Salary: $47,499.96
