Association Update

National Convention

Safe travels to each of the chapters who will be attending the 90th National FFA Convention next week in Indianapolis!  We encourage you to spend an extra few minutes talking with your students about travel safety, especially as it relates to travelling in a big city.  To each chapter competing, we wish you the very best of luck!  For those not attending, be sure to tune in to the gavel to gavel coverage of the convention provided by RFDtv.

FL FFA Headquarters

As a reminder, the Florida FFA Headquarters will be closed next week, October 23-27 as our staff will be attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

State Forestry CDE

Congratulations to the winning district teams who will be  advancing to the State Forestry CDE to be held on November 8-9th in Perry, FL.  Additional information about the State Forestry CDE will be forthcoming.

Chapter Management

Membership Roster

The National FFA Membership Roster is now available. The first roster deadline has passed. If you have not added members to your yet please do so immediately. You may continue to add members throughout the year as they join. An email containing complete instructions for completing and submitting your roster was sent out on Monday, October 2nd. This email also contained step-by-step guides for each part of the process.  As a policy, this year your members will not be eligible to compete in CDE/LDE’s unless they are processed on your membership roster before they compete.

Unpaid Invoices

Please be reminded that per board policy, all chapter invoices must be paid in order to participate in Career and Leadership Development Events. This will take effect immediately. If you are a new advisor at a school and have concerns regarding your account, please let us know and we will work with you to get your account settled.

Foundation Corner

With Sub-District competitions right around the corner, our supporters are ready to lend a helping hand! In the coming days, we will be sharing the host information with those partners who offer financial support for the sub-district events. They are excited about attending as many events as possible to serve as judges, room hosts and assisting with the presentation of awards. The Foundation wishes all of you competing at the National FFA Convention next week the best of luck! If you have any questions please contact michael.rogalsky@flaffa.org.
