89th Florida FFA State Convention - Warner Classroom Partnership
May 26, 2017 by Michael J Rogalsky
Through a special partnership between the Florida FFA Foundation and Warner University Agricultural Studies, we are excited to present the Warner Classroom, an interactive teaching lab for Florida’s agricultural educators, at the 89th Florida FFA State Convention and Expo!
The Warner Teaching Lab will feature two workshops per day focused on laboratory-based instruction for teachers to learn and take hands on lessons back to their classroom. Day one will feature a small ruminant parasites lab with Dr. Gina Babb while day two will feature a soil sciences lab with Dr. John Crews. All labs will be presented by Warner University faculty and professional development points will be awarded to those who attend.
Throughout the day, when labs are not in session, the Warner Teaching Lab will serve as a Teacher Networking Room. During this time, we encourage all of Florida’s agriculture teachers attending the convention to stop by to share lesson plans, teaching methods and have an opportunity to network with their peers and Warner University faculty and staff. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Please see the attached flyer advertising the days and times of the classroom. Space is limited in each session, so be sure to arrive early! We hope you will take advantage of this excellent opportunity!
