Convention Information: 89th Florida FFA Convention & Expo
Mar 21, 2017 by Ronnie Simmons
It is almost time for the 89th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo! Our staff and officers are already busy planning for the biggest and best convention ever!
Please find below, the link to the Chapter Registration Kit for the 89th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo. The guide includes all of the information you will need including lodging information, registration details and convention activities. Information regarding convention talent, staff and courtesy corps is also included.
The Chapter Registration Kit is designed to help introduce your chapter to a new adventure in premier leadership, personal growth and career success at state convention. As always, convention will be packed with can’t-miss opportunities from helping chart policy and electing state officers to receiving recognition for outstanding achievements and sharing ideas with members from across the state.
The Chapter Registration Kit and all other convention related information has been launched on the Florida FFA website at http://www.flaffa.org/convention/
Convention Registration: Online Convention Registration is now available. In order for a chapter to access the system, a registration code is needed. Beginning March 21, each chapter should receive an email invitation including a personal registration code to access the system.
Convention Lodging: The online convention lodging system is now available. Our block of convention rooms includes both regular suites and villas. Remember that all chapters that stay in the convention block are entitled to the discounted convention registration. Chapters that do not stay in our block and live more than 30 miles from the convention site must pay the increased convention registration fee. For lodging information, visit http://www.flaffa.org/convention/
It is important that chapters be considerate of other chapters when reserving villas. Only a limited number of villas are available. Each chapter/school is limited to no more than two villas per chapter. This allows the limited number of villas to be used for cooking purposes and regular hotel suites to be used for additional sleeping rooms. We realize that splitting your group is not ideal, but with the correct number of chaperones (1 per 6 students), this should work effectively.
Note 1: Please note that reservations for chapters that do no adhere to the (2) Villas Per Chapter Policy will be automatically changed by Florida FFA. Any villas reserved (more than 2 per chapter) will be reverted back to regular hotel suites. To avoid this and to limit the confusion on the day of check-in, please adhere to the policy.
Note 2: Rooms that are not reserved through the convention block at the convention rate will be subject to a higher registration rate per person. See registration guide for schedule of fees.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We look forward to seeing you in June!
