Membership Rosters and Billing
The deadline for your chapter’s spring membership roster was March 1. At this point, all of your FFA members should be “Submitted to State” using MyFFA. We will begin billing you for your final membership dues in the coming weeks. As a reminder, you have already received an initial invoice from the Quality Chapter Plan which included dues for the number of members you had at the time of submission, along with the competitive event fee. We will begin comparing that invoice, and how many members you have now, and bill you for the difference. The absolute deadline for membership this school year is May 1.
The final step to close out your membership roster is to submit your memberships to state. Please make sure that you clear any error messages, including old or incomplete teacher profiles, before submitting to state.
Please be reminded that all team members must be current on the membership roster in order to be eligible for participation. If membership is questioned in any competitive event or award programs held above the chapter level, the advisor must then show evidence that state and national dues were paid prior to the student having participated in that event or award program. If membership for any team member is determined to be unpaid, the team will be disqualified from the event.
The application tracker is now available on the Florida FFA website. The tracker keeps a log of all of the applications that are mailed in to Florida FFA. Please check application tracker before calling Florida FFA to verify if your application has been received. Additionally, please check the spelling of your name and chapter - this information is used when printed awards and certificates. Note that applications are not immediately available on application tracker due to the high volume of submissions.
Convention Registration and Lodging
It’s about that time! We are excited to celebrate a very successful year at this year’s state convention & expo. We are already planning for this year’s event, and are anticipating a number of enhancements. We will be highlighting these changes along with registration information in the coming days. We will publish a date and time when registration and lodging will be available.
Quality Chapter Report
The Quality Chapter Report opens April 20 and is due May 15. This submission is used as an accomplishment report to highlight all the activities your chapter has participated in this year. This submission is used to determine various awards and also to determine if your chapter is eligible to seat delegates. The Quality Chapter Report will be available on the new “Chapter Management” page of the Florida FFA Website - formerly the Membership page.
Florida FFA Beast Feast and Future Farmer Classic
The Florida FFA Foundation 14th Annual Beast Feast and Future Farmer Classic will take place on Saturday, March 25th at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center. A special thanks to the teachers and chapters who have offered to provide food booths and auction items! It’s not too late to help, we are still accepting both silent and live auction items and have room for additional food booths. We also ask that you please encourage your students, parents, community members and alumni to attend this great event! Tickets for these groups are $25.00 each! We hope to see you on March 25th in beautiful Haines City!
