Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association (NLASA) at ASU:

In preparation for a dynamic career in the nonprofit sector, there is no better undergraduate education and preparation than earning the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential awarded through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (formerly American Humanics, Inc.). Arizona State University is one of the leading programs in the nation that offers this preferred national certification in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Based on both curricular and co-curricular activities, students focus on 10 National Competencies set by nonprofit employers across the country.  Active participation in the professional student association is one of the requirements for certification and assists students in development of  leadership skills and builds their network of professional contacts.

Program History
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association (formerly American Humanics Student Association) at Arizona State University was founded in 1980 with the support of the Phoenix Rotary Club 100 and nonprofit organizations. They recognized the need for highly skilled leaders in the nonprofit sector. Through the dedication of students and the support of the community, ASU has evolved into the nation's leader among the more than 50 universities affiliated with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

All ASU registered student organizations must have a full- or part-time benefits-eligible faculty or staff member serving as an advisor. By entering your advisor's email, they will automatically be sent an electronic Advisor Commitment Form which they must complete for your registration.

An Advisor Commitment Letter electronically signed by the Advisor is a required part of finalizing the registration of your student organization. Make sure to follow up with them to complete.
