Grape Picking Oct 21 Saturday
Grape picking at Colter's Creek Winery, with the more grapes picked the more money raised for the Latah Trail Foundation. A fun event and lunch is provided. A brief orientation starts at 7AM either in the winery or in the field. Typically stop picking at 12:30 and eat lunch, and the day is over. If possible, before you leave, they would like a group photo to put up on the Facebook page.
ALLOW FOR TRAVEL TIME TO WINERY
Directions: From Lewiston, follow HWY 12 east about 11 miles to HWY 3 (sign says Juliaetta and St. Maries). Turn left onto HWY 3, and go 1/4 mile and turn right onto Arrow Highline. Cross the bridge, and drive up about 1 mile to the end of pavement. Turn left onto Colter Creek Lane, and drive down THROUGH the vineyard (gates will be open) another mile to the winery. The first structure you see coming down is our house, not the winery.
It’s a nice drive from Moscow to drop to Kendrick from Troy, and proceed through Juliaetta, and in 7 miles, turn left onto Arrow Highline drive.
It will be cool, but should be sunny. Bring sunscreen, a jacket, and wear sturdy shoes. They will provide picking tools. Some folks like to bring their own pruners, and that’s fine. Some like to pick with gloves. Some will be available, but bring your own if you’d like.
