Come and join us on this year's Holi, the "Festival of Color", that will be held on the Quad on Saturday, April 8th, @3-6pm to indulge from the vibrant colours of India and enjoy on some great music!

Join us on Wednesday, April 5th, @ 4:15pm where we will be having a Brown Bag at the Grossman Library to discuss and learn more about what Holi is and why it is celebrated, before the Holi Festival this weekend on April 8th.

Flags on the Quad

To help kick off HSL's Immigration Week, there will be an evening of solidarity for the lives lost by immigrants hoping to seek a better life. We will begin with a short talk to explain what our actions symbolize and share stories related to immigration week. Each flag put out on the quad will symbolize a life lost crossing the Mexican-American border. Everyone is invited to come and help us remember the lives lost and the risks taken.

Movie Night at Grossman Library

There will be a movie screening of Under the Same Moon at the Grossman Library. The movie is about a young boy who crosses the Mexican-American border to California so that he can be reunited with his mother. Come through for a relaxing night and a good movie!

Open Mic- Real Stories, Real People

This event will be held in Farinon during the lunch period on April 5th. Stories from people who are immigrants or who have witnessed the effects of immigration on family members and friends will be shared. The stories told are real and they will be about people coming who have immigrated to the US and have faced difficulties

Proposed Wall

The HSL House will host an event to discuss the proposed wall between Mexico and the U.S. We will present information and statistics on immigration and discuss current social issues involving immigration. The event is open for everyone, the HSL House is a safe space for anyone who wants to share their thoughts and have their voice be heard.
