Be a Member of the Skate Gardens Transformation Team
The Tony Kettel Skate Gardens, located in Palouse, WA, is a up-and-coming community gathering space that will feature a skate park as well as an edible garden area. The community members are highly passionate about this space and have incredible ideas that will make their town even better!
The vision of the garden is a "welcoming space for families and friends to gather for picnics...to bird watch, to look over the downtown area....that will include edible elements throughout...a book lending station, butterfly gardens...secret garden "rooms" and art displays..."
Event: Students interested in working on the vision of the Skate Park Gardens have many opportunities to work directly on the project with design, promotion, implementation, etc.
Location: The Tony Kettel Skate Gardens is located on E Whitman St. in Palouse, WA. If you are coming from Pullman, take a right onto Main Street and then a left onto North Hall Street (in front of the Post Office) and the sign for the Skate Gardens is directly ahead. Parking is available on site.
Requirements: Students should wear weather appropriate clothing as well as close-toed shoes when working on site.
