Keeping our black history Month Celebration going, BSC will host a brunch reading group on Sunday, February 25. The readings for this meeting will follow our conversation on the tensions between Du Bois's notion of the "race concept" and blackness. We did not come to any grand conclusion, rather we decided the question requires further study.

So, for our next meeting will read two articles: first, Jennifer Morgan's "Some Could Suckle over Their Shoulder": Male...

Marvel's Black Panther hits the theaters this weekend! Please join members of BSC in celebrating black history month by attending the most anticipated black cultural event of the year.

Please arrive at least 20-30 minute before the film starts so we can all find good seats. Discussion will take place immediately after the film at a TBD location. 

RSVP ASAP so we can buy enough movie tickets.
