Thank you for showing interest in the UL Peer Mentor organization! Our primary purpose is to serve as a helpmate for our new students; we strive to encourage, support, and assist the freshmen class through their UNIV 100 class. Please feel free to visit our UL Peer Mentors Facebook page to see some of the awesome work our first years and mentors are doing!
Peer mentors are current sophomores and above who are paired with a faculty member and are assigned a section of UNIV 100/Cajun Connection Class. Peer mentors help the instructor by being a class facilitator and role model. The peer mentors goal is to support learning for first year students and ease their transition into the university. Peer Mentors now have the opportunity to enroll in an internship class consisting of one credit hour. Peer Mentors can earn up to three total credit hours.
