The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a fully-independent, student-governed, non-profit organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training in our nation. The Tempe AMSA pre-medical chapter at ASU is the largest chapter in the western region. We are committed to providing educational benefits, advancement opportunities, community service projects, and clinical experience for all pre-health, undergraduate, and graduate students at Arizona State University. How to Become a Member


 
Anyone interested in the medical field, especially those who are planning on going to medical school, are able to join AMSA!

To be a member, you will need to have 20 hours per semester.

This includes 10 hours meetings and socials along with 10 hours community service (MINIMUM 5 hours with AMSA and the remaining hours can be service from other clubs, etc.)

The effort and time that you put into AMSA and your other pre-med experiences isn't for our own benefit - it's for yours!

All ASU registered student organizations must have a full- or part-time benefits-eligible faculty or staff member serving as an advisor. By entering your advisor's email, they will automatically be sent an electronic Advisor Commitment Form which they must complete for your registration.

An Advisor Commitment Letter electronically signed by the Advisor is a required part of finalizing the registration of your student organization. Make sure to follow up with them to complete.
