Welcome to the Hillel Laf Sync page! Please make sure to stay tuned for all of the exciting and events that will be happening throughout the semester and year! We cannot wait to meet you all!
We host services every Friday at 5pm, followed by dinner at 6. Throughout the year, we also host a mix of religious, social action, and social events. Our religious events include an annual seder, transportation to Easton synagogues for the High Holy Days, and Hannukiah lighting during Hannukah. Social action events include annual participation in the Relay for Life, blood drives, food collections, and tzekah. Our social events provide a chance for members to meet each other and make new friends.

Each organization must designate someone as the primary contact for the organization. This is someone with whom the administration will communicate and who is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with College policy.
In addition to a president or primary contact, each organization must also designate a treasurer or financial manager. To ensure responsible accounting practices, this person must not be one in the same so as to provide appropriate checks and balances.

Please list your statement of purpose or mission statement. This should answer the question for prospective members, "What can I expect from this organization if I join it?" or "Why does your organization exist?"
The Lafayette College Chapter of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Society is established to provide Jewish facilities, guidance, security, and organization for religious, cultural, educational, social, social action, and interfaith activities for all members of the Lafayette College community in accordance with the goals and objectives of B’nai B’rith Hillel Societies.

We have weekly Sabbath services every Friday at 5pm followed by a catered dinner at 6pm each week. In addition, we will host dinners before Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (the two holiest days of the year) in October, we will host an interfaith Seder for Passover in April, as well as various lunch and evening lectures throughout the year. This fall, we plan on continuing our tradition of going apple picking in October and playing laser tag against Lehigh's Hillel during Rivalry Week, and welcoming alums back for snacks after the Homecoming football game. Of course, we will continue to sponsor a campus-wide bagel brunch once a month, and as always, all of Hillel's events are open to everyone regardless of their religious affiliation!
