Sex is always non-consensual when people have been drinking.
Alcohol use does not affect the ability to consent to sex.
Alcohol use affects the ability to communicate clearly which impacts ability to consent.
Most states have laws stating a person can not consent to sex if incapacitated by alcohol or other drugs.
If you are getting mixed messages while drinking it is probably a good idea to stop.
Consider how alcohol lowers inhibitions: for example, it reduces self-awareness and the ability to read social cues, impairs cognitive functioning, and allows for instigator pressures to have more of an impact.
Sexual assault can not occur within the context of a relationship even if the two people have been drinking.
Having multiple drunk people doesn’t cancel out the possibility that one or more isn’t consenting to the sex taking place.
