Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A.) is a political student organization that promotes higher education, cultura, and historia. First established in 1970s during the Chicano movement, we have branched out to advocate for all marginalized groups. If you would like to be more socially conscious, be a leader in your community, and fight for social justice, we invite you to join us.
Our general meetings are every Monday at 6:30 pm in the MEChA room, located on the lower level of the Memorial Union Room 80 (next to the Veteran Center).

Raising consciousness of our people by empowering our culture through awareness. MECHA fosters leadership skills, networking and community service. Recruitment is open all year.

All ASU registered student organizations must have a full- or part-time benefits-eligible faculty or staff member serving as an advisor. By entering your advisor's email, they will automatically be sent an electronic Advisor Commitment Form which they must complete for your registration.
An Advisor Commitment Letter electronically signed by the Advisor is a required part of finalizing the registration of your student organization. Make sure to follow up with them to complete.
