Invitation for Pre-Law Undergraduates: For People of Color Law School Admissions Conference
Dec 17, 2019 by Patrick A Prusinovski
The Coalition for Diversity at Berkeley Law is excited to host the For People of Color Conference on Saturday, February 1st from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This a fantastic event designed to demystify the law school application process for underrepresented communities, and I am writing to ask if you can forward the information below to your students.
This student-run event seeks to expand opportunities for low-income individuals, minorities, and underrepresented communities to obtain a legal education.
The conference will consist of an admissions workshop and various panels with current law students and administrators, and will include an opportunity to have a current law student to review your personal statement and resume. Through the For People of Color Conference, prospective law students will receive invaluable mentorship, leadership and motivation.
The event is free, and students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to attend. A continental breakfast and a lunch will be provided. Since the amount of food ordered will be based on registration numbers, registration is required.
