Malachi House (Sundays)
Semester Serves volunteers will help with chores and general household tasks at the Malachi House, which is an organization that provides end of life care for people who have no caregivers and limited financial resources. This program takes place every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This site requires a commitment of one semester and all volunteers must complete a volunteer orientation on the first day of the program and a TB test. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by the Semester Serves leader. The specific dates of the program will be as follows: 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, & 12/3.
To sign up: Click the green button above, and fill out the short, one page application form that pops up. You will then be contacted by CCEL to confirm your participation. If this program is full, please contact Adrian Griffin at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the waitlist.
Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources in Educational Services for Students and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
