Provost Scholars Program (Thursday)
Semester Serves volunteers will be matched one-on-one to provide math, writing, reading comprehension, homework, and ACT/SAT tutoring and mentoring support to high school students from East Cleveland who are on campus weekly in Guilford House as part of CWRU's Provost Scholar youth enrichment program. The program takes place every Thursday from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m. beginning Thursday, September 28. This site requires a commitment of one semester. There will be a mandatory training on best practices for working with youth on Friday, September 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Clark Hall room 309, pizza provided. The specific dates of this CCEL Serves will be as follows: 9/22 (training), 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, and 12/7.
