Medwish International (Fridays)
MedWish International collects medical supplies and delivers them to those providing medical care in developing countries. Volunteers will help sort materials into categorized bins for future shipments. Volunteers will meet in the CCEL office at 1 p.m. and return to campus by 4:30 p.m. Transportation is provided in a CCEL van. Closed-toed & closed-heeled shoes are strictly required in order to volunteer at MedWish. Some heavy lifting may be involved, and volunteers should be prepared to stand for the duration of the project. Wearing comfortable clothes and bringing a filled water bottle are recommended. To sign up: click the green button above!
There are 5 spots available in the CCEL van for this opportunity. If you are one of the first 5 people who have RSVPed, then your spot is confirmed. However, due to last minute cancellations that have recently occurred with CCEL Serves events, we have decided to open 3 additional RSVP spots for people to be added to a waitlist. You will receive an email 1 week before the event with your status, and then an updated email 1 day before the event. If you are on the waitlist, we encourage you to save this date and time on your calendar, as spots often open up last minute.
Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources in Educational Services for Students and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
