Welcome to the Office of Residence Life's Home on Org Sync. We are excited that you are visiting us here! Our Office works will all Residential Students and Commuters.
Consistent with its Jesuit mission, Fairfield University seeks to educate the whole person, and a great deal of learning takes place outside of the traditional classroom. Student life at Fairfield is defined by a mixture and balance of academic rigor, coeducational and extra-curricular pursuits, and service to others.
As a residential campus, life in the halls, townhouses, and apartments can and should be an integral part of the Fairfield undergraduate's four-year experience. Programs and activities specific to a hall or residential area are sponsored by our resident assistants and Area Coordinators. Residence Life staff members sponsor programs on their own but also partner with other Resident Assistants or offices such as the Recreation Department, Athletic Department, Student Programs & Leadership Development, Student Involvement, Campus Ministry, and individual faculty or academic departments, to provide a diverse array of activities designed to enrich students' lives and help them be more fully engaged in the life of the University.
The residential experience is an integral part of the Fairfield undergraduate experience. Living in residence teaches and fosters a sense of shared and collective responsibility - responsibility to one's self, roommate(s), floor-mates, and the campus community. Residential living at Fairfield University is an experience, where learning is continuous.
The residential experience will challenge students to welcome, embrace, and develop relationships with students who are different from themselves. Numerous educational, social, cultural, service, and spiritual programs and activities are sponsored in the residence halls (and townhouse and apartment complex areas) to provide opportunities for personal growth, development, and fun.
The Office of Residence Life at Fairfield University serves all undergraduate students living on-campus, commuting, and living at the beach. We recognize and promote the vibrant communities that exist in our Residence Halls, within our commuter population, and off-campus at the beach.
