We're glad that you're considering joining the Office of Community Standards team in helping to lead students through UWG's conduct process.
Please check out our FAQ's in the "Files" tab to learn more about expectations and duties of SCB members. After reading, you will also find the 2017-2018 Student Conduct Board Application in the "Files" tab.
The Student Conduct Board is responsible for reviewing violations of the Code of Student Conduct and educating alleged students about the rules, polices, and regulations contained in the Code. Student Conduct Board members play a large role in upholding the standards of campus community at the University of West Georgia. Most notably, board members jointly serve as hearing officers for cases that could result in Suspension or Expulsion from the University.
More than just a resume booster: Service on the Board is a challenging and satisfying way for students to enhance their academic experiences. SCB members gain valuable critical thinking, communication, and time management skills that will make them more competitive when applying for a job or graduate school.
