Welcome to Celtic Canes Irish Dance Club at the University of Miami! Celtic Canes is a new club SPORT at UM dedicated to the promotion of Irish dance and culture. We are open to students of all levels (no experience necessary). In addition to weekly practices to learn dances, work on technique, and have fun, we will also have various performances at UM and around Miami. Practices will be on Sundays from 3:30-5PM in Multi-A and Mondays from 8-9PM in Multi-C in the Wellness Center. Welcome to Celtic Canes Irish Dance Club at the University of Miami! Celtic Canes is a club at UM dedicated to the promotion of Irish dance and culture. In addition to biweekly practices to learn dances, work on technique, and have fun, we perform at various events at UM and around Miami as well as travel to compete in different competitions.
The purpose of Celtic Canes is to spread appreciation for Irish dance throughout the University of Miami community, as well as to provide a fun form of exercise. The objectives of Celtic Canes shall be to keep members actively engaged in the material through practices, maintain an encouraging and supportive environment by keeping classes for all levels and always supporting our fellow members, and show our pride and appreciation for Irish dance to others by hosting performances.
