Housing Information for Recruitment

Jun 26, 2015 by Emily Perrin Britt

Women participating in recruitment who are living on campus for the 2015-2016 school year will move into their assigned residence halls on Saturday, August 15th. Those assigned to even floors of their residence halls will begin moving in at 9:00 am and odd floors will begin moving in at 11:0 am. Please try your best not to stray from this schedule. You do not need to request an early move in through the housing assignments office. The Panhellenic staff will coordinate that for you. There’s a $21 per day fee for early move in that will be assessed on your first tuition statement.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide housing for women who live off-campus. If your lease does not begin until after recruitment, you need to make arrangements at a hotel, with family, or a friend.

After you move in you will meet with your Gamma Chi (Recruitment Counselor) at 5pm either in your residence hall or in the Fine Arts Building if you are a commuter student. Immediately following that meeting you will attend the Potential New Member orientation with your group. Panhellenic hosts a school supply drive every year and you can drop off your donations when you come to the orientation session.

Your parents and families are invited to attend an orientation session at 5pm in the Singletary Center for the Arts on move in day. This orientation covers important information for parents as well as tips for them on how they can support you during your experience in sorority life at UK.
