Hello and welcome to the Phi Alpha Chapter of Chi Omega!

My name is Kerri Corcoran and I am the President of the Phi Alpha Chapter. It is such an honor and a privilege to lead and work alongside all of these dedicated women.

Our chapter is made up of inspiring, dynamic, and driven women who I am so grateful to be around every, single day. Although our chapter is very diverse, we are all united through Chi Omega’s six purposes: Friendship, High Standards of Personnel, Sincere Learning and Creditable Scholarship, Participation in Campus Activities, Career Development, and Community Service. In Fall 2018, we had the fifth highest GPA of the 40 Greek organization's on GW's campus. We also won Greek chapter of the year in 2016. All sisters are involved in at least two other campus organizations, in which many are leaders. However, our interests are not only limited to on-campus opportunities. Many sisters hold internships and jobs around the city, study abroad, and participate in many community service activities. Annually, we fundraise and volunteer for The Make-A-Wish Foundation through our campus-wide fundraising events and Walk for Wishes. Just this past year we raised nearly $12,000! We are D-1 athletes, world travelers, philanthropists, students, animal lovers, coffee addicts, and more, but together, we are Chi Omegas. Our sisterhood is truly like none other.

Chi Omega has given me sense of community and a support system since I joined Freshman year. These women have helped to create my home away from home. My sisters have helped me become the best version of myself as a friend, leader, and student. We are womanly always and discouraged never and place scholarship before social obligations. At the end of the day, we are sisters on purpose.

If you are interested in recruitment, I invite you to reach out to myself or any executive board members listed below. Please have a look around all of our social media platforms to learn a bit more about us! For active members and alumnae of Chi Omega, welcome home.

"To live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place scholarship before social obligations and character before appearances; to be in the best sense, democratic rather than “exclusive”, and lovable rather than “popular”; to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscience demand; to be womanly always; to be discouraged never; in a word, to be loyal under any and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings and to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of high purpose and helpfulness in which there is no discordant note."
