WAITLIST OPEN: ACT: Creating Effective Learning Environments (Required) (2nd Fall Offering)
***This workshop is currently full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please e-mail email@example.com and we will notify you if a spot opens up. If there is sufficient demand, we will consider scheduling another offering of this workshop this semester.***
This seminar provides a practical discussion of how to foster a positive classroom climate that cultivates student learning. ACT participants will discuss strategies for creating and maintaining classroom guidelines and policies within a framework that promotes inclusive classroom environments. We’ll also look at how an understanding of student intellectual development can help us frame classroom activities and increase student resilience. Francesca Minonne will facilitate this session. Lunch will be provided. Enrollment is limited; please register as soon as possible, but no later than November 21st.
Though this workshop starts at 12, please plan to arrive early so that you have enough time to get your lunch and get settled before the facilitator begins the session. Please note that those who miss more than ten minutes of a session will not receive ACT credit for that workshop.
