Volunteer and get PAID at the All-University Career Fair (Sept. 19-21)

Aug 31, 2017 by Bill Harlan

The K-State Career Center is looking for clubs and organizations who may be interested in paid-volunteering opportunities for our All-University Career Fair on Sept. 19, 20, and 21. Interested organizations will pledge a number of volunteer hours in which their members will complete on the days of the fair. In return, the Career Center will compensate the organizations for their completed, volunteer time. Some positions available include: General Set-Up, Employer Registration, Freight, Lot Attendant, Hospitality, and Student Registration.

Also as a reminder your organization will be compensated in the following way:

*Remember these are collective hours. Payment will go to the organization and NOT individual members.
10 volunteer hours = $100
20 volunteer hours = $200
30 volunteer hours = $300
40 volunteer hours = $400
50 volunteer hours = $500 (max)

The Pledge Form for club/organization volunteers is currently open for your organizations. Please have your organizations pledge their hours as soon as possible. Once we receive the pledge form we will review the information and then send out a link for the Sign-Up Genius so that the organization contact can sign up the individual names for the pledged hours.

Here’s the link to the pledge form: https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5nnzzrGlGkhq6bj

Please note that all groups will need to upload a copy of their organization’s W-9 Form with the Pledge Form this year. (If operating as a DSO contact me for completing the transfer) This is new, but will allow for the payment process to flow easier. So please make sure your student reps are aware of this change. If you are unaware of how to get a copy of your W-9, please contact your department or the Center of Student Involvement for assistance.

Please let me know if any of you have any questions or concerns! I look forward to working with you!

Thanks!
