Indeed. This examination will allow people to take the three different licensing tests.

Is there a recommended book for the exam or should I just review the online quizzes on the different websites?

Garrett Porter

The three exams (Technician, General, and Amateur Extra) are designed by the ARRL and they release study guides for the exams. Within those guides contain every piece of information required to pass the exams. You can buy the books: http://www.arrl.org/shop/Licensing-Education-and-Training/ . The club has a copy of each of the study books; currently though, the technician book is checked out to one of our members.

Here are some websites that provide free practice exams: http://aa9pw.com/radio/, http://hamexam.org, and http://www.hamtesting.com/ptChoose.php.

I hope you do well on your exam. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
