M.D.S.O. provides skills and information about the health field to UNT pre-health students. Examples of such information and skills are volunteering opportunities; presentations from various healthcare professions on healthcare policy, study skills, and interview processes; experiences; health conferences; and potential field trips.

This organization serves as a way for students to get a glimpse of what the health field is like through our informative presentations, meetings, and guest speakers from various health occupations. Health education is needed globally and we want to educate and grow with you on the journey to a healthier world.

Organization Purpose/Mission:

The purpose of M.D.S.O. (Medically Dedicated Student Organization) is to provide pre-health students of UNT guidance in acquiring skills, information & volunteer opportunities within their community. The organization also serves as a way for students to get a glimpse of what the health field is like through our informative presentations, meetings and guest speakers from varying health positions. MDSO provides a wide range of information to assist pre-health professional student.

This is the total number of ACTIVE members (all of which should be UNT students) who participate in activities of the organization. This is NOT the number of students who signed up on an interest list, nor the number of students the organization "governs" (if the organization is a governing body over groups of students or other organizations).

As listed in the organization's constitution (e.g., dues, attendance, GPA). If none, write "None."

Dues: $15 / year
Points: 30 per academic year
