APPLY TODAY: Emerging Leaders Program and Emerging Greek Leaders Program
Aug 28, 2018 by Kaylee Hartman
Welcome back to another great year at Loyola! The SAGA office is excited to share the applications for two opportunities: the Emerging Leaders Program and the Emerging Greek Leaders Program.
Emerging Leaders Program
The Emerging Leaders Program is for students looking to learn about leadership, community, personal identities, and positive social change. The program is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership and takes participants on an in-depth journey to learn and understand their personal definitions of leadership and change. There are small groups led by a student facilitator that allows for group connection and conversation about activities, ideas, and challenges experienced in the program. ELP is a great opportunity to meet other Ramblers from all areas of campus, get connected to opportunities on campus, and connect more with personal strengths and weaknesses.
ELP is open to all Loyola students and Arrupe students. There are six bi-weekly meetings throughout the semester where participants tie all of this back to their Loyola experience and discovering how to create positive, sustainable change. The seventh meeting is a banquet and panel of various campus leaders and departments.
The Emerging Leaders Program will also have a table at the Org Fair on Wednesday for any questions you may have.
This program has two different meetings times, both taking place on the Lake Shore Campus.
Wednesdays from 3:30 – 5 PM OR Thursdays from 5 – 6:30 PM
The applications deadline is September 2 at 11:59 PM. Selected participants will begin meeting either September 12 or 13 depending on selected day. The application can be found here: https://orgsync.com/61186/forms/325166

Emerging Greek Leaders Program for the Sorority and Fraternity Life Community
Emerging Greek Leaders Program is designed for students who have been in their sorority or fraternity organization for 0-2 years. If you have been in your organization for more than 2 years, please consider applying to be a EGLP Mentor.
EGLP is a cohort-based program that provides a space for students from all three SFL councils to build relationships with peers through the exploration and discussion of the Social Change Model of Leadership as well as various leadership skills and practices. EGLP participants will engage in opportunities for leadership development within their chapter, council, and community. Through EGLP, students will have the opportunity to implement the leadership knowledge and skills gained by collectively coordinating a community-wide initiative. Applications can be found here: https://orgsync.com/61208/forms/328114
Emerging Greek Leaders Program will consist of:
Program Sessions: 6 weekly sessions Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM (September 20th - October 25th)
