Are you a woman pursuing a career in the science and health fields?
American Medical Women's Association Baylor Chapter is willing to connect you with resources to support you through out your undergraduate years and prepare you for your professional career.
Our goal is to empower women and be a source of inspiration to continue thriving in the male-dominated field of science, most specifically medicine. Any nursing, PA, physical therapy, dentistry, etc, students are welcome to join.
Be ready to engage in discussion about the important role of women in science as well as serving our community.

We are Baylor's American Medical Women's Association, winner of the 2017-2018 Outstanding New Organization award, here to empower Baylor undergraduate females in the sciences--especially those who are pursuing a career in the health field. AMWA is a national organization that works to encourage women in a male dominated field. AMWA's Baylor Chapter represents the pre-health body. We have discussions, workshops, socials, service opportunities, fundraising activities, all with the aim of developing those skills that are necessary for women to thrive in the sciences and health field.
Our hope is to bring discussions, within Baylor undergraduate students in the sciences, about the important role of women in the sciences. We hope to equip women with the necessary strength to keep on pursuing a career in the sciences.
