Thank you for stopping by the Student Nurses Association of PA's (SNAP) page! We hope that you will find useful information about our organization and members. SNAP at Penn State Harrisburg is a non-profit organization and constituent of the National Student Nurses’ Association. The function of SNAP is to have direct input into standards of nursing education, influence the educational process, and encourage a collaborative relationship with nursing and related health organizations in Pennsylvania as well as participation in student activities and educational opportunities. Student Nurses Association of PA, or more lovingly referred to as SNAP, is the on-campus group of student nurses currently enrolled in the Accelerated Second Bachelors program. All members have obtained bachelors degrees prior to this prior in a wide variety of fields, but have returned to school for nursing. We are a dedicated group of individuals who wish to engage and enhance the communities that we serve.



Selection Process/Membership Requirements

Please list information about the organizations selection process and include membership requirements if applicable.

To become a member, applicants must sign up with the National Student Nurses Association. Once signing up and paying the fee, you then will automatically become a member of SNAP. Requirements for SNAP membership include: member of NSNA, PSU Accelerated 2nd Degree student, and in good academic standing.
