ACU Commonwealth Games Update

ACU’s elite student athletes have taken out an impressive seven medals at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast! Leading the way was Clyde Lewis who took out the double Gold in the Men’s 400m and 200m Individual Medley in two tight finishes.
Georgia-Rose Brown doubled up in Artistic Gymnastics earning silver in the Women’s balance beam and bronze in the Women’s team final. Ellie Cole was also impressive in the pool in the Women’s S9 division earning a silver in the 100m Backstroke and bronze in the 100m Freestyle.
Brandon Starc has raised the bar and made it through to the Men’s High Jump final. Alumni Rachel Lynch also starred earning player of the match in Australia’s Women’s hockey team after some amazing saves as goal keeper.
The 20 year old, Alexandra Hulley, claimed silver in a strong performance in the Women’s Hammer Throw. While Kyle Cranston fought hard in the Decathlon to secure fifth place.

- Anna Rose Keating and Anabelle Smith - Women’s Diving Wednesday 11 April 9:29pm and Saturday 14 April 10:07
