Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) sporting teams will now be equipped with industry leading apparel from ONTHEGO. ACU Sport has just signed a two-year deal with ACT-based ONTHEGO to be the University’s new sports apparel partner.

ACU has 34,000 students across seven campuses throughout Australia as well as a campus in Rome. ACU Sport runs a variety of sport, health and wellbeing programs across its campuses including: sports clubs, representative opportunities at National Championships, social sport, gyms and fitness classes.

ACU Sport’s official launch in early 2018 builds on the accumulation of four years of work across all of our campuses. The aim is to enrich university life through healthy activities that contribute to students’ overall wellbeing.
ONTHEGO’s founder and CEO, Mick Spencer, said partnering with ACU was a great opportunity for the company to formalise its business in the education, collegiate and campus space.

“We are excited about our partnership with ACU as it is one of Australia’s most notable universities and a cornerstone customer for ONTHEGO. The partnership sees ONTHEGO providing ACU Sport with a much-needed digital solution and a fresh approach to supplying students with customised sporting gear.”

“We have partnered with ACU Sport as its brand purpose strongly aligns to our own.  We strive to give every person the opportunity to live an active and healthy life and we truly believe sport has the power to change the world,” he said.

ONTHEGO was founded by Spencer in 2012. In six years, the company has grown to a world leading bespoke manufacturer of highly customisable apparel and accessories. OTG has also won several accolades, awards and contracts globally, including with big names like Microsoft, Sheffield Wednesday FC England, IRONMAN, Hockey Australia, NRL, Anytime Fitness, PwC, and Ernst & Young.

Developed in collaboration with ACU Sport, the team's new look will highlight ACU’s wider brand change, incorporating impact through empathy and patterns which incorporate purple and red tones.

The new partnership between ONTHEGO and ACU Sport kicked off in March 2018 and will see all ACU sports teams in the new brand sports uniforms.

Paul McJannett, Director, Student Engagement & Services said: “We are looking forward to the launch of the new ACU Sport brand and to seeing our students feeling energised about wearing the new uniforms and representing ACU on the national stage.”
