Welcome (back) to Brown! Come see students perform arias on the steps of Manning Chapel on September 12th at 7:30pm. From incoming freshmen to graduate students, opera will be represented by a variety of students who love Brown. Bring a blanket and some snacks, relax on the quiet green, and listen to the voices of Brown.

María de Buenos Aires is a tango opera with music by Ástor Piazzolla and libretto by Horacio Ferrer. The ill-omened María heads to the center of Buenos Aires where she is seduced by the music of the tango and becomes a street worker.  After her death, she is condemned to a hell which is the city itself.
