On Monday 10/10, Native Americans at Brown will host a campus-wide event to discuss the progress of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative, the activism in Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline, and to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Native student’s efforts to have the University recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day while also recognizing the colonized land on which Brown University stands. Indigenous People's Day Banquet

This banquet is the first of two events over Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend. This celebratory dinner will be held to thank members of the Brown community who stood in solidarity with Native Americans at Brown in implementing the name change.
