The Senior Campaign is a student-led fundraising program that works to build a culture of philanthropy and alumni values on campus. This giving tradition stretches back to the 1980s at GW, and in recent years has achieved participation from more than 60% of the graduating class for sums of more than $130,000. This year, the Division of Development & Alumni Relations is seeking to hire two Senior Class Gift Coordinators on a paid part-time basis for the Class of 2020. As the chief fundraising role for students within the Division of Development & Alumni Relations, being a Senior Campaign Coordinator is an ideal opportunity for students interested in Fundraising/Development, Alumni Relations/Volunteer Management, Event Planning, Project Management, and/or Marketing/Communications.
Senior Campaign Coordinators are responsible for...
- Soliciting fellow seniors to reach participation goals for the campaign
- Recruiting a committee of seniors to develop and manage peer-to-peer solicitations and event staffing for the year-long campaign
- Coordinating 20+ events throughout the year including high-level alumni association events, as well as senior nights, the annual senior breakfast, tailgates, and grad week activities
- Creating and implementing a year-long strategy for direct marketing and communication involving brochures, email, web, and social media channels
